1 in hospital after north Etobicoke shooting

One man is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after a shooting in north Etobicoke on Wednesday morning.

Toronto Police told 680News the victim, a man in his mid-20s, was shot in the head.

It happened on Waterton Road, near Scarlett Road and Lawrence Avenue, around 2:20 a.m.

Police have taped off an area outside a townhouse complex in the area as they search for two suspects.

“Two male suspects ran up to the victim. There was an altercation at which point there was a single shot fired,” Sgt. Angelo Costa told CityNews.

“Witnesses called us. We’re looking for anybody with information to contact police. At this point we’re not really sure what caused the altercation,” Costa said.
