Scarborough native Orlando Franklin to meet Mayor Rob Ford Tuesday

Scarborough native and Denver Bronco’s tackle Orlando Franklin will meet Toronto Mayor Rob Ford on Tuesday.

Ford wore Franklin’s No. 74 jersey at a news conference before the Seattle Seahawks beat the Broncos 43-8 in Super Bowl XLVIII.

The two will meet at City Hall on Tuesday afternoon.

Franklin, who was born in Jamaica and moved to Toronto at the age of three, was back in town and checking out the local sports teams. On Monday, he watched the Toronto Raptors beat the New Orleans Pelicans 108-101.

He also sported a customized Toronto Maple Leafs sweater in a photo he posted to Twitter.
