Bradford man wanted in deadly Newmarket double-stabbing

Police in York Region have identified a suspect wanted for first-degree murder after a double-stabbing in Newmarket on Wednesday night.

Officers were called about the incident around 10:30 p.m. and when they arrived at the scene near Huron Heights and Davis drives, they found two men with stab wounds.

One of the men, 65-year-old Ronidy Roseborough of Newmarket, died in hospital. The other remains in hospital with serious injuries.

Witnesses said they saw three suspects fleeing in a dark SUV. Police believe John Jansen, 38, of Bradford was one of them.

He is white, five-foot-six, 120 pounds, with brown hair, brown eyes and several tattoos on his arms.

He could be extremely violent and should not be approached. If you see him, call police.
