Halladay throws out first pitch at Toronto Blue Jays home opener

Roy Halladay was back on the mound for the Blue Jays on Friday.
The two-time Cy Young Award winner announced on Twitter Thursday that he would throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to the Jays home opener against the New York Yankees.
Halladay spent 12 years in Toronto and is ranked second in franchise history in wins and strike outs, and third in innings pitched. The 36-year-old last appeared in Toronto in 2011 as a member of the Philadelphia Phillies.
Canadian rock legend Geddy Lee of Rush threw out the first pitch at the home opener last season.
The Jays took on the Yankees at the Rogers Centre starting at 7:07 p.m.
Fans were encouraged to arrive early to the sold-out game – gates open at 5 p.m.
Blue Jays fan received a rally towel just for walking through the door and one lucky fan will win a 2014 Honda CR-V EX-L AWD. Eight others will go home with Honda lawnmowers during the game.
