Part of Yonge-University subway closed this weekend

A stretch of the Yonge-University subway line is closed this weekend as the TTC updates its 60-year-old signal system.

Southbound trains on the Yonge line are turning back at Bloor station, and those on the University-Spadina line are turning back at St. Andrew.

Shuttle buses are running between Bloor-Yonge and St Andrew. Alternatives include the 6 Bay or 94 Wellesley buses and the 506 Carlton, 505 Dundas, 501 Queen or 504 King streetcars.

Union Station is also be closed for construction. St Andrew can be accessed via the PATH network.

Regular service will resume on Monday morning.
