Two cars were trapped after a section of the roof of a gas station collapsed in Mississauga, Peel police said on Monday.
The incident occurred at Winston Churchill Boulevard and Argentia Road, which is just south of Hwy. 401.
Shell Canada told CityNews high winds appear to have caused part of the canopy to collapse.
“Most important, no one was injured. The site is closed for inspection and will be until we ensure the structure is sound,” Shell Canada spokesperson Michelle Slade said.
Two people were filling up at the time but fortunately, they were shaken up but not hurt.
