Crews battle townhouse fire in Scarborough

Firefighters are working to put out a two-alarm blaze in a townhouse complex in Scarborough.

The chief said it started before 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the garage of a unit on Morrish Road, near Kingston and Meadowvale. The fire soon spread to the second floor and attic, with flames and heavy smoke visible through the roof.

There was some damage to a neighbouring home.

Toronto EMS said no one was injured.

Police told 680News a vehicle caught fire inside the garage.
