DJ EZ Rock of ‘It Takes Two’ fame dies

DJ EZ Rock, who shot to fame with It Takes Two in the late 80s, has died.

The rapper, born Rodney Bryce, died on Sunday. He was 46.

A spokesperson for Bryce’s friend and collaborator Rob Base confirmed the news to Rolling Stone magazine. The cause of death has not been released.

It Takes Two was named one of the Top 50 hip-hop songs of all time by Roots drummer Questlove, and was sampled by artists ranging fro Snoop Dogg and Gang Starr to Girl Talk and South Korean girl group 2NE1, Rolling Stone reported.
