Ontario NDP launches new website with help of U.S. company

Ontario’s New Democrats launched a new website on Thursday, which was created with the help of Los Angeles-based software developer NationBuilder.

The interactive site — at the centre of the NDP’s new digital platform — is integrated with the party’s Facebook, Twitter and YouTube accounts.

The website will also help the NDP track supporters, donors and volunteers.

According to party officials, the new digital campaign model is built on President Barack Obama’s election campaigns in the U.S.

NDP communications director Jen Hassum said this is the party’s most “data driven” election campaign.

NDP Leader Andrea Horwath campaigns on Thursday in Toronto and Sarnia.
