Eighteen people face a total of 73 charges after a Durham Regional police investigation dubbed “Project Bermuda.”
Several police forces helped in the sweep on Tuesday morning, including those in Toronto, York Region and Kawartha Lakes.
“When we did an investigation centered around a house in Oshawa, [police] pulled a bunch of drugs and weapons out of that house,” Durham police spokesperson Dave Selby said. “As a result, this project began and culminated early [Tuesday] morning with all those search warrants.”
Police also seized drugs, cash, firearms and vehicles. A list of the suspects will be released on Wednesday.
