Bon Jovi group a finalist in Buffallo Bills’ sale: report

Rock star Jon Bon Jovi and his Toronto-based group have been chosen as a finalist in the sale of the Buffalo Bills, according to John Kryk of the Toronto Sun.
The Toronto group, that includes MLSE’s Larry Tanenbaum and the Rogers family, reportedly re-submitted its bid last week and that was just accepted over the weekend, the report said.
The Bon Jovi group was forced to re-submit its bid because the initial bid was supposedly too low and because there was fear surrounding the group’s intentions to move the team from Buffalo to Toronto.
Bon Jovi has since publicly stated that he intends to keep the Bills in Buffalo, but the matter of money may still be a problem because Buffalo Sabres owner and fellow finalist Terry Pegula reportedly already made a much larger bid that could go even higher because of a plot of land that he recently sold for $1.75 billion.
Real estate mogul Donald Trump is also one of the reported finalists, as well as former Sabres owner Tom Golisano.
The final bidders are expected to submit binding bids by about the end of the month, the report states.
