Teen stabbed at Brampton school

A teenager has been stabbed at St. Edmund Campion Secondary School in Brampton, according to Peel Regional Police.
The school was placed in lock down shortly after the 12:30 p.m. Friday incident and neighbouring schools — including Brisdale Public School, St. Aidan Catholic School, McCrimmon Middle School, Fletcher’s Meadow Secondary School — went into hold-and-secure modes. The lockdown and hold-and-secure modes have since been lifted.
Police have taken one suspect, a 17-year-old student from St. Edmund Campion, into custody and is expected to be charged. Police are looking for others.
The victim’s injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.
The lock down has since been lifted.
