The Roar singer took to Twitter following the announcement to say that she’s already testing out ideas for the Feb. 1 show that will take place in Phoenix.
My band is in the other room screaming at the TV (and each other) over this Cowboys-Giants game. Can’t wait for February 1st… ??

Pepsi, the official sponsor of the Super Bowl halftime show, released a video promoting the big event.
Perry, 30, has dominated the Billboard charts since releasing her debut in 2008, including nine No. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Her sophomore effort, 2010′s multiplatinum Teenage Dream matched the record Michael Jackson set with Bad for most songs from a single album to hit No. 1 with five.
She follows in the footsteps of some of the world’s biggest musical acts to perform during the halftime show including U2, Beyonce, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, Madonna, Prince and The Rolling Stones.
Perry is currently on her Prismatic World Tour.
