2 face attempted murder charges after Kensington Market stabbing

Police have charged two men with attempted murder after an early-morning stabbing in Kensington Market on Wednesday.

A 19-year-old man was stabbed in the neck around 4 a.m.

Police say the victim and two other men got into a fight outside the Sam’s Food Stores convenience store on the corner of College Street and Augusta Avenue.

The victim was conscious when he arrived at the trauma centre at St Michael’s Hospital.

There is no further word on the victim’s condition.

Emilio Land, 22, of no fixed address, has been charged with attempted murder, robbery, assault with a weapon, possession of a dangerous weapon, assaulting a peace officer, failing to comply with recognizance and failing to comply with probation.

Botoch Sagutch, 22, of no fixed address, has been charged with attempted murder, robbery, assault with a weapon, and possession of a dangerous weapon.

They appeared in court at Old City Hall on Wednesday morning.
