SIU called in after multi-vehicle crash in Brampton

Peel regional police say the province’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) has been called in after a three-vehicle collision in Brampton.
The crash occurred in the Main Street and Williams Parkway area around 1 a.m. on Monday.
Peel paramedics say four people were hurt, but their injuries are not life-threatening.
It’s not yet known if police officers were directly involved in the crash, or were just in the vicinity when the crash occurred.
The SIU is an arm’s length agency, which investigates cases involving police where there has been death, serious injury or allegations of sexual assault.
