Netflix offers fake New Year’s Eve countdown for kids

Netflix has come up with a unique way to help parents trick their young ones into going to bed before the New Year’s Eve midnight countdown.

The online streaming service is offering a three-minute countdown special for kids that can be played at any time of the day.

The high-energy special has music and dance and might help fool tikes into believing it’s the real countdown.

The special, which is available in several countries, is hosted by the lead character in the new Netflix original animated series All Hail King Julien.

Netflix says it came up with the special after a survey found 42 per cent of Canadian parents admitted they won’t let their kids stay up until midnight tonight.

The survey was conducted by Leger Marketing on behalf of Netflix.
