Construction explosion at Liberty Village site sends 1 to hospital

A construction worker was sent to hospital with burns on his arm and face after an explosion in Liberty Village on Monday night.
Emergency crews were called to the scene on the train tracks near Strachan Avenue and Duoro Street around 10:30 p.m.
The explosion could be heard high above in neighbouring condo towers.
The damage was contained to the construction site.
The Ministry of Labour was called in to investigate.
There has been no word from GO Transit on whether the investigation will disrupt service.
