Man found shot in the face near Danforth and Main, 2 in custody

Toronto police have taken two people into custody following a shooting in the city’s east end where a man was shot in the face.

Paramedics responded to a call on Dawes Road, near Danforth Avenue and Main Street, just before 9 a.m. on Thursday.

However, the shooting scene appears to be on Gower Street, near Victoria Park Avenue, north of where the victim was found.

Ambulance officials told 680News it appears the bullet just grazed the victim, and that he was conscious and breathing at the scene.

He was taken to hospital via an emergency run, police say.

Police say he’s not co-operating with the investigation so far.

The area was closed off for the police investigation.
