Peel police divers have recovered the body of a man who jumped into a Brampton lake to save his daughter on Saturday.
Investigators say the 40-year-old man and the child were playing at Professor’s Lake, in the Torbram Road and Bovaird Drive area, when the youngster got in a little over her head.
According to police, the child got out of the water safely and water rescue crews were called to the scene just before noon.
After no sign of the man by 3 p.m. the rescue search was deemed a recovery effort.
