Trending: Canadian government recalls Delorean due to flux capacitor defect

Stephen Harper may still officially be the Prime Minister, but it looks like government staff are already loosening their ties ahead of his younger successor’s swearing-in ceremony.
The Government of Canada’s official website joined in on the internet fun surrounding Back To The Future Day on Wednesday.
October 21, 2015 was the date that Marty McFly and Doc Brown traveled through time to in Back To The Future II.
Under the recalls and alerts section of the government site, Transport Canada issued a recall of the Delorean DMC-12, warning that a defect in its flux capacitor “could lead to inability to travel through time while travelling at 88 miles per hour (141.6 km/h) and may increase energy consumption beyond 1.21 gigawatts.”
“This could have disastrous consequences.”
