Guns, dynamite and drugs allegedly seized from downtown residence

The Toronto police Guns and Gang Task Force says it has seized a frightening cache of weapons, including sticks of dynamite, while executing a search warrant in downtown Toronto on Saturday.

Police say they found numerous high-powered firearms, three sticks of dynamite and drugs at a residence near King Street and Spadina Avenue.

Wing Wayne Woo, 39, of Toronto was arrested and is facing a dizzying array of charges, including six counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm.

 

Weapons allegedly seized:

  • Remington Model 7400
  • SKS semi-automatic rifle
  • VZ-58 semi-automatic firearm
  • Tec 9 semi-automatic firearm
  • desert eagle .44 calibre handgun with ammunition
  • Kriss Vector .45 ACP semi-automatic Rifle

Charges:

  • six counts Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
  • six counts of Possession of a Firearm Knowing Its Possession is Unauthorized
  • Possession of a Prohibited Firearm Knowing Its Possession is Unauthorized
  • eight counts of Careless Storage of a Firearm
  • six counts of Possession of a Firearm Obtained by the Commission of an Offence
  • Possession of a Loaded Prohibited Firearm
  • Possession of a Prohibited Device (Silencer)
  • Possession of a Loaded Restricted Firearm
  • Possession of a Prohibited Device (Magazine)
  • Careless Storage of Ammunition
  • Unlawful Possession of Explosives
  • Possession for the Purpose Schedule 1 GHB
  • Possession for the Purpose Marijuana
