Toronto residents can weigh in on budget this week

Toronto residents can have their say on the city’s budget when public consultations begin this week.
The budget committee will hear public presentations on the 2016 tax-supported budget drafts starting on Tuesday.
The subcommittee meetings will continue until Thursday at civic centres across the city. Those wishing to participate have until 4 p.m. Friday to register.

City Hall – Committee Room 1, 100 Queen St. W.
Jan. 12 at 9:30 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Etobicoke Civic Centre – Council Chamber, 399 The West Mall
Jan. 12 at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.
Scarborough Civic Centre – Council Chamber, 150 Borough Dr.
Jan. 13 at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.
North York Civic Centre – Council Chamber, 5100 Yonge St.
Jan. 13 at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.
East York Civic Centre – Council Chamber, 850 Coxwell Ave.

A separate town hall meeting will be held Monday at City Hall. That meeting will focus on proposed increases to user fees.
