Man arrested after TTC bus operator punched in the face

A man has been arrested after a Toronto Transit Commission worker was punched in the face while operating a TTC bus Thursday morning.
Police said the incident occurred while the bus was in service near the intersection of Eglinton Avenue and Caledonia Road around 9:30 a.m.
Police arrested a 19-year-old man on scene shortly after the incident.
TTC spokesperson, Danny Nicholson said that the driver was punched in the face over a fare dispute.
Nicholson said about one TTC operator is attacked every day.
“Treat our operators how you would like to be treated yourself,” he said.
