Hamiltonian charged for allegedly striking man with his breakfast

There’s egg on your face, and then there’s egg at your face.

A 19-year-old Hamilton man has been charged after throwing his breakfast at someone at a restaurant.

According to Hamilton police, a group of people all known to each other were enjoying breakfast at a restaurant at the corner of Kenilworth Avenue North and Barton Street East when the 19-year-old became upset with a 29-year-old man also seated at the table.

Witnesses say the man picked up his breakfast and threw it at the other man, striking him in the face.

The victim sustained an injury and had to be taken to hospital.

The suspect has been charged with assault with a weapon and failure to comply with probation. His name was not released.
