Missus-agwa … where in the world is that place?
United States President Barack Obama slipped up on pronouncing Mississauga during a meeting with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Thursday.
“This is always tough… Missus-agwa?” Obama said, followed by laughter from the crowd.
We can’t blame Obama for butchering the name of one of our Canadian cities, we’ve all heard people mispronounce Canadian places before.
Canadians aren’t off the hook either; some don’t even know how to properly pronounce our own streets and locations.
