Two teens are being held in police custody in connection with the fire at a Vaughan grocery store that caused over a million dollars in damage.
It’s not clear if they turned themselves in or if they were apprehended by York Regional Police.
The two are accused of deliberately setting a bag of chips on fire at a Longo’s at Weston and Rutherford roads in Vaughan on Sunday night, causing millions of dollars in damage.
The two reportedly put the burning bag back on the rack and then fled the store.
Fire fighters arrived as smoke was pouring out of the doors. No one was hurt.
Police say two suspects were captured on surveillance video setting the fire.
The store was evacuated while crews contained the fire. It remains closed.
