QUEBEC – Quebec City’s Videotron Centre likely won’t be seeing regular-season NHL hockey for the next few years at least, with the league set to confirm this week it has chosen Las Vegas over the provincial capital for an expansion franchise. Some facts about the arena:

Home to: Les Remparts de Quebec, who play in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League

Cost of stadium: $370 million

Seating: 18,259 for “hockey configuration” — several other configurations available for concerts and various events

Management rights: Owned by Quebecor Inc. (TSX:QBR.B)

Working staff: 1,515 people

Glass surface in main entrance: 1,513 square metres

Height: 40 metres

Area of structure: 65,037 square metres
