Two Montreal teens charged with forcing woman to work as prostitute in Toronto

By News Staff

Toronto police have arrested two teens who allegedly threatened to kill a 20-year-old woman’s dog if she didn’t continue to work as a prostitute for them.

In a release, police said the two men, both aged 19, brought the woman from Montreal to Toronto where they advertised her sexual services online.

Police say the two men arranged for clients to meet the woman, and forced her to turn over all the money from those encounters.

When she eventually refused to continue working as prostitute and tried to leave, police say she was beaten and told she could only leave if she paid an exit fee.

Police further contend that the men took possession of her dog and threatened to kill it unless she complied with their demands.

Amine Chakar and Anass Ahaouaze, both of Montreal, were arrested on Thursday.

They are facing a slew of serious charges, including trafficking in persons by recruiting, assault and forcible confinement.
