A woman who took her dog to a car wash in Hamilton for a quick rinse attracted the attention of passersby and police.
Hamilton police say on Thursday some people intervened after they saw a woman using a car wash to give her dog a bath. One bystander posted video of the incident on Facebook.
Police say it apparently initially appeared that the dog was suffering, but they confirmed the dog wasn’t hurt.
The woman told police that her pooch had become dirty from rolling in the mud but the dog was only reacting to the cold water and wasn’t harmed as she was using a low-flow setting.
Police admonished the woman over where she decided to bathe her dog.
