Police car catches fire near Broadview and Dundas

Toronto firefighters were called to Broadview Avenue north of Dundas Street to put out a fire in a police car.

The fire began around 4:50 a.m. on Thursday.

Toronto police told CityNews the officers were in the area to investigate a report of a missing person.

When they returned to their vehicle, it was on fire, with flames coming from the dashboard.

No one was hurt, and the fire was quickly extinguished.

It’s not yet known how the fire began.
