A teen girl was rushed to a hospital with life-threatening injuries after falling off her bike and violently hitting her head in Brampton on Monday.
Early on Tuesday morning, Peel police said the girl’s injuries were no longer considered life-threatening. She was seriously hurt but is expected to survive.
She was riding down the back of the ski hill at Chinguacousy Park when she lost control and hit her head on the ground.
Peel police, paramedics and fire reported to the scene at approximately 8:10 p.m. on Monday.
The 17-year-old girl was then rushed to trauma centre in Toronto.
Officers say the the teen was with a number of other teens at the time of the incident. She was not wearing a helmet.
It was the back of the hill, officers said, not the part where people normally ski.
