Lockdown, hold and secures lifted at Brampton schools

Peel regional police have given the all-clear in Brampton after a school was locked down and other schools were placed in hold and secure on Tuesday. There was a report of an armed person at the locked down school.

The lockdown has been lifted at David Suzuki Secondary School on Daviselm Drive, near Chinguacousy Road and Queen Street.

Police were called to the school just before 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday. However, no weapon was found.

The hold and secures at the following schools have also been lifted: Springbrook Public School, McClure Public School, Our Lady of Peace Separate School, and Walden International School.

Police gave the all-clear just before 2 p.m.

In a tweet, the Peel School Board said exams at David Suzuki have been cancelled for Tuesday and will be rescheduled. It was the first day of exams at the school.
