Charges have been laid after an 18-year-old man was fatally stabbed outside a mall in the city’s west end on Friday.

The victim was found near a clothing donation bin, in the parking lot behind Galleria Mall at Dufferin and Dupont streets just before 12:30 a.m.

Louis Desjardins, of Toronto, was rushed to hospital where he later died.

Paramedics initially said the boy was 16 years old. However, police say they don’t know the victim’s age because he wasn’t carrying any identification on him.

Witnesses in the area provided descriptions of two suspects to officers at the scene. After searching the area, police arrested a man and woman.

Andrew Gomes, 18, of Toronto, was later charged with second-degree murder.

Homicide investigators are appealing to witnesses to come forward to help with the investigation

It was one of four stabbings that took place in the GTA in the past 12 hours.
