Toronto, Mississauga police investigate after 4 people stabbed

Police in Mississauga and Toronto are investigating three separate stabbings that sent four people to hospital. A fourth stabbing, near Toronto’s Galleria Mall, left a teenage boy dead.

At least five men got into a fight near Fieldgate Drive and Bloor Street in Mississauga around 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Peel police say.

Two of the men were stabbed. Both of their injuries are believed to be minor. Two men were arrested for assault. One of the suspects had to be treated for minor injuries at a local hospital.The fifth man, who police say is white man in his mid-30s, wearing a red sweater, left the scene.

Police are asking witnesses to come forward.

A 21-year-old woman was stabbed at a shisha lounge on Danforth Avenue, between Monarch Park and Coxwell Avenue, around 1:45 a.m. on Friday.

There was a fight at Arabian Nights Cafe, Toronto police say, which lead to the stabbing. No arrests have been made.

The final stabbing happened in the city’s east end around 1:55 a.m. on Friday. Toronto police say a 15-year-old boy was found stabbed in the leg on a bus platform at Warden Station. He was taken to hospital, where he remains with life-threatening injuries.  Police were called the scene by the TTC.

It’s believed there was a brief fight before the victim was stabbed.
