By News Staff

A 25-year-old Markham man was arrested at Pearson airport on sexual assault charges after arriving on a flight from Hong Kong Wednesday night.

Police said Shaojun Hu had been chatting with a 35-year-old Toronto woman on social media for two years when he offered her a job.

On June 16, she met with Hu, whom she knew as Ken, and he drove her to a house in Markham.

It’s alleged when they went inside, he sexually assaulted her.

The woman went to police on July 4, and with tips from the public they learned the suspect would be arriving at Pearson around 9 p.m. Wednesday.

He is due in a Newmarket court on Aug. 11.
