Toronto police have released security images of a suspect after a man was allegedly shot in an attempted robbery last month.
Just before 7 p.m. on July 2, police were called to area of Caledonia Road and Castlefield Avenue for reports of a shooting.
It’s alleged two men were walking into a plaza when they were approached by an unknown man who tried to engage them in conversation.
The unknown man then attempted to rob the two victims of their jewelry.
The suspect then allegedly shot one of the victims, a man in his 20s, in the lower abdomen.
It’s reported the suspect then entered the passenger seat of a car, which then sped off north on Caledonia.
The suspect is described as being in his mid-20s, six-foot-three, with a large build. He was last seen wearing glasses and a dark grey Roots tracksuit.
The vehicle is described as a 2013 or 2015, dark-coloured Chevrolet Malibu.
Police said the suspect is considered armed, violent and dangerous and are asking any members of the public who see him to not approach him and call 911 immediately.
