Minor injuries reported after shots fired in Brampton

A 39-year-old woman has minor injuries after shots were fired in a Brampton neighbourhood on Tuesday evening.

Residents called police around 6:45 p.m., saying they heard gunshots in the area of Chamney Court, near Kennedy Road South and Steeles Avenue East.

When officers arrived, they found a woman with minor injuries, as well as several damaged cars and shell casings on the pavement.

Police are asking any witnesses to call them or Crime Stoppers.
