Man dies after car hits pole in Scarborough

A 33-year-old man has died after his car crashed into a pole in Scarborough on Saturday.

The man was driving east on St. Clair Avenue East, near Brimley Road, when his BMW veered off the road and hit a concrete pole just before 11 a.m.

He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died.

On Monday around 8 p.m., another man drove into a concrete pole near Pearson International Airport.

The 27-year-old was going east on Renforth Drive, approaching Carlingview Drive, when his Acura left the road and hit a concrete pole.

He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police are asking anyone with information on either incident to call them.
