Scarborough’s ‘Heritage Trail’ of murals under restoration

By News Staff

A trail of murals along Kingston Road in Scarborough, depicting Toronto’s history, are being restored.

The 12 murals make up the Heritage Trail, painted on buildings in the early 1990s. The murals depict significant historic moments and local landmarks, as voted on by residents at the time, and run from Birch Cliff to Highland Creek Village. The touch ups are being lead by Mural Routes, a non-profit group who originally commissioned them.
