Man hurt, but not shot, in Whitby shooting

Durham police are investigating after a man was hurt, but not shot, during a shooting in Whitby.

It happened at an apartment on Dundas Street at Craydon Road, east of Garden Street, on Wednesday night.

Police say two suspects opened fire around 11 p.m., but they missed the victim. They then fled the scene.

The 25-year-old victim was hit by flying glass. He was was treated in hospital and has been released.

Police do not believe the shooting was random.

The suspects are two men, wearing black masks and dressed in dark clothing. They fled the scene in a vehicle. Anything with information is asked to contact police.
