Many across Toronto smelled it, and now the mystery of who dealt it has been solved.
Toronto was a little stinkier than usual on Thursday and Coun. Mike Layton tweeted Friday morning assuring citizens no foul play was involved.
What's that smell TO? As part of Parks dept field maintenance, organic fertilizer is being applied to sports fields.

It turns out the “poo smell” many described was in fact just that – organic fertilizer was applied to sports fields and parks in ward 19, Trinity-Spadina. The ward covers a large part of the downtown west area including Little Italy, West Queen West, Liberty Village, Christie Pits and the Fort York neighbourhood.
