Street sweeper charged with impaired driving on QEW

A Mississauga man is facing charges after a bizarre incident on the QEW on Thursday night.
OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt says police received numerous calls about a street sweeper travelling extremely slowly down the QEW.
“Officers from the Port Credit detachment found that vehicle, observed the driver, as well as witnesses observed the driver, drinking what appeared to be alcohol inside the vehicle” he said.
48-year-old Aaron Duffy is now facing charges including impaired driving and having open alcohol in his vehicle.
