Keep your umbrella handy this weekend as a lot of rain is on the way.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for most of southern Ontario, including Toronto.
The rain is expected to begin later this evening and continue through to Sunday night. Rain may be heavy at times and some thunderstorm activity is also possible.
The national weather service says between 25 and 40 millimetres of rain are possible.
In addition, strong winds reaching gusts of up to 60 kilometres an hour are possible on Sunday.
The showers are expected to move out of the region by Monday morning just in time for a cooling trend to move in.
Temperatures are expected to hover around 10 C during the day with lows falling to -1 C later in the week.
