Man fatally struck by vehicle in Burlington

A 54-year-old man is dead after he was hit by a car in Burlington on Tuesday.
It happened just after 6 p.m. on Stratton Road near Lakeshore Road and Burloak Drive.
Police said a Mazda was heading westbound on Stratton when it struck the man.
He was rushed to hospital with critical injuries and died a short time later.
The driver, a 77-year-old Burlington woman, remained on scene. She was not injured.
Police said speed and impairment were not factors in the crash.
