2 injured in downtown collision

Two people were injured in a collision in the downtown core on Saturday afternoon.
Police responded to a call for a collision between a car and a delivery truck on York and Wellington Streets around 11:30 a.m.
Paramedics were called and both doors from the driver’s side of the car were removed. They told CityNews that one person was extricated and taken to a trauma centre with serious injuries.
The driver of the car had minor injuries and refused to be taken to hospital.
The area was closed to traffic for the investigation, but has since reopened.
