2 separate crashes on DVP cause traffic mayhem

The Don Valley Parkway has reopened after two separate crashes involving several vehicles snarled traffic during the morning rush hour.

One crash happened on the southbound DVP near Bayview-Bloor around 6:30 a.m. on Thursday. Police say five vehicles were involved in the crash, including a large cube van that rolled over.

Two people who were in the van have minor injuries.

The southbound lanes were closed from Don Mills Road to Bayview-Bloor but reopened just after 9 a.m.

 

Around the same time, a separate three-vehicle crash happened on the northbound DVP north of Bayview-Bloor. Two northbound lanes were closed, but reopened around 8:15 a.m.

It is not yet known if anyone was injured in that crash.
