1 possibly injured after shots fired near Eglinton and Dufferin plaza

By News Staff

Toronto police say a report of gunshots near a plaza in the city’s west end may be related to a man who walked into a hospital with gunshot wounds.

Officers were called to Eglinton Avenue West and Dufferin Street to reports of multiple shots fired at around 10 p.m. on Thursday.

A car was seen speeding away from a nearby plaza.

Police did not find a victim at the scene, but said they found evidence someone was injured.

Shortly after, a man walked into hospital with gunshot wounds. His injuries are not being considered life-threatening.

Police believe the man is the victim of the shooting, but cannot confirm.

No suspects have been identified and police continue to investigate.
