Man seriously injured in Mississauga stabbing

Peel police are searching for a suspect after a man was stabbed in the chest in Mississauga.

The stabbing happened around 9:45 p.m. on Monday, in the area of Dundas Street and Camilla Road, just east of Hurontario Street.

The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Police said the suspect ran away from the scene.

The canine unit was brought in to help search for the suspect.

A suspect description has not been released and it is not yet known what led to the stabbing.
