Book of condolences set up in Toronto for officers killed in Fredericton

By News Staff and The Canadian Press

Torontonians can pay their respects to the police officers who were killed in the line of duty in Fredericton last week.

A book of condolences for Const. Robb Costello and Const. Sara Burns has been set up in the lobby of the Toronto Police Headquarters on College Street.

The books will then be privately presented to the families of the officers.

A New Brunswick man is charged with four counts of first-degree murder in the shooting deaths of the two officers, as well as two civilians.

Police say the suspect had a firearms licence and used a long gun that can be legally obtained in Canada.
