A man in his 20s is dead following a shooting in a condo building on Adelaide Street East.
Police responded to a call for a shooting on Adelaide Street East, just west of Parliament Street around 2 a.m. Sunday.
When officers arrived they found the victim in a common area on the fourth floor with a gunshot to the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A grey Nissan was reportedly discovered in the parking lot next to the building. The vehicle had hit a cement block and police have taped off the vehicle as part of the investigation.
A forensics team and homicide unit are now investigating.
Police say it is too early to say if the victim was targeted and no one is in custody at this time.
They are looking for at least one suspect described as a white male wearing a black jackets, pants and a baseball cap.
The shooting marks the city’s 63rd homicide of the year.
